Preliminary Criteria for Zero Percent* Commission From Seller (CCA)

The real estate fees charged by a REALTOR® are sometimes considered a considerable sum of money. And without knowing the detailed ramifications of selling on one's own, you'll agree it is tempting to try to save those fees by selling your property yourself. When home sellers express their intent to sell on their own, I give them the pros and cons and leave the final decision upto them, since I respect their opinion.

However, when clients tell me that commission is the only reason that they are willing to sacrifice their personal and family time, family safety and security (with unscreened strangers coming to "case" their home), ignorance of the law (they could be sued for issues which they are not aware of), etc. and sell on their own, I offer my clients 0% (yes, zero percent) commission* for putting their listing on the MLS system and at least giving them the option of having the safety and security of unscreened strangers not "casing" their home, dedicated realtor services, etc.
